Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center in Grovetown, Georgia, has implemented two TIMS MVP systems to support instrumental swallowing assessment across both fluoroscopy and endoscopy.

The new installation includes TIMS MVP paired with the Philips ProxiDiagnost N90 for modified barium swallow studies (MBSS), as well as a second TIMS MVP system supporting flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) with the Ambu aView 2 Advance and Ambu single-use endoscopes.

While MBSS and FEES provide clinicians with different perspectives of swallow function, both play an important role in comprehensive dysphagia assessments. Supporting both modalities within TIMS MVP gives clinical teams access to a consistent platform for capturing, reviewing, analyzing, documenting, and managing swallowing studies.

Supporting MBSS in Radiology

For MBSS, TIMS MVP connects with any fluoroscopy system, such as the Philips ProxiDiagnost N90, to capture swallowing studies directly from the imaging equipment.

Clinicians can then use TIMS MVP to review studies frame by frame, create subclips and snapshots, document findings, complete standardized scoring and measurements, and generate reports. Studies can also be integrated into the organization’s broader imaging and electronic medical record infrastructure, supporting access to swallowing imaging across the enterprise.

Bringing the Same Platform to FEES

In the endoscopy setting, TIMS MVP provides many of the same review, analysis, documentation, and reporting capabilities while supporting the unique needs of FEES.
