Shannon Marks, MS, CCC-SLP
Shannon Marks is the West and Central Training & Demonstration Manager at TIMS Medical and a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Shannon holds degrees from Penn State University and La Salle University and has extensive experience working with adult and geriatric populations across the continuum of care, including acute care, outpatient, independent and assisted living, and skilled nursing settings. She is passionate about expanding access to instrumental evaluations and supporting clinicians in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Brooke McGivern, MS, CCC-SLP
Brooke McGivern is a full-time member of the TIMS Medical leadership team, an adjunct professor, and serves patients in the acute care, inpatient , and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She is a four-time recipient of the ASHA ACE Award, the ASHA Distinguished Early Career Professional (ECP) Certificate, the Tactile Medical Leadership Award, and is a graduate of the ASHA Leadership Development Program. She is the co-founder of Servant Leadership and a member of DRS, NFOSD, and SIG13. Brooke has presented at the state and national levels, and has been a guest on the podcasts Understanding Dysphagia, Speech Path Pod, Lymphedema Podcast, and First Bite. She has been the host and guest speaker for continuing education webinars. Brooke is passionate about improving clinician access to resources for evidence-based practice and leadership development. She has experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing settings.

Megan Vas, MS, CCC-SLP
Megan Vas serves as the East and Central Training & Demonstration Manager at TIMS Medical, bringing a wealth of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in dysphagia within medical settings. Her passion for enhancing instrumental evaluation access stems from firsthand experience in environments with limited resources. Joining TIMS Medical, Megan is dedicated to empowering fellow SLPs by ensuring they have access to essential tools for optimal patient care. She is inspired by TIMS' commitment to supporting SLPs and advancing the field.

Course Information
Description
Quantitative measures have been shown to improve diagnostic accuracy compared with qualitative analysis alone, and standardized approaches further support reproducibility, transparency, reliability, and a consistent patient experience, while promoting clear expectations, best-practice adoption, and improved patient outcomes. This course will explore the benefits of quantitative analysis and tools that aim to increase objective data for both MBSS and FEES. Attendees will be provided with practical tools for next-day implementation.
Learning Outcomes
Describe MBSS and FEES analysis methods to evaluate adult and pediatric swallowing physiology, quantify pharyngeal impairment, rate penetration and aspiration severity, guide multidisciplinary care, and identify esophageal abnormalities through validated screening methods.
Describe kinematic, estimate, and timing measures which can be implemented in MBSS analysis.
Describe timing measures which can be implemented in FEES analysis.
Describe tools to support quantitative analysis, the implementation of standardized tools, and the enhancement of interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
List resources and tools for continued education regarding standardized assessment tools and quantitative analysis.
