Eric Blicker CCC-SLP.D, BCS-S is an American Speech-Language- Hearing Association (ASHA) Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing Disorders (2008). Dr. Blicker received his Clinical Doctoral Degree from Nova Southeastern University (2008). He was trained in Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing with Sensory Testing (FEESST) by Dr. Jonathan Aviv, the otolaryngologist who developed FEESST at Columbia University Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (2000-2001).

Course Information
Description
This course was created to explain the methodologies used in the endoscopic management of recently extubated patients with dysphagia. Course instruction will be provided on the implementation of Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing for diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational purposes when treating recently extubated patients with dysphagia.
Learning Outcomes
List at least five of the anatomical areas visualized with FEES that are also landmarks during the intubation process.
List at least five clinical indications for conducting a FEES exam on a patient with a who has been recently extubated.
List at least five dysphagia characteristics known to occur with recently extubated patients.
List at least five different components specific to the FEES exam on the recently extubated patient.
