TIMS provides a couple of ways to annotate a study: Study comments can be added using the Study Description or Series Description fields. These comments are displayed in the status bar of the TIMS window and included in the DICOM file that is sent to PACS or recorded to CD/DVD. With Series Description, a set of pre-defined list of Series Descriptions can be set up to choose from. That way, users can choose frequently used Series Descriptions easily rather than typing them in each time.
Benefit: By using Study Description and Series Description, physicians can benefit by viewing additional information about the study as provided by the operators.
