TIMS provides several ways to send studies to PACS. One of these is Progressive Send. This means that individual image streams are sent to PACS immediately after they are acquired rather than waiting for all streams to be acquired.
Benefit: Progressive send allows radiologists and cardiologists to immediately see individual image streams or series on PACS before the study is actually completed. For a case study describing the benefits of Progressive Send in a cardiac imaging environment, click here.
