Who Needs TIMS > Endoscopy

Endoscopy
  • TIMS Saves Money: Extends the life of current endoscopy equipment.  Expensive DICOM upgrades or new equipment are unnecessary.
  • TIMS Improves Efficiency: Rather than spending time printing to low quality thermal paper or recording to videotape, studies are immediately available in digital form on PACS.

TIMS is ideal for going digital in your endoscopy department.  Until recently, endoscopy images have been printed on low quality thermal printers or recorded to videotape.  With TIMS, the entire endoscopy department can be online and digital on your PACS system.  TIMS supports the static and motion capture of video from endoscopy systems.  The images and video streams are converted to DICOM and sent to PACS.  Even if you do not yet have PACS, the endoscopy studies can be recorded to CD/DVD/USB for soft-copy review or digital archiving.  The high quality DICOM images are far superior to those recorded to thermal paper and videotape.
