Real-Time Teleradiology

The TIMS Consultant is available as an option for the TIMS 2000.  The TIMS Consultant allows the hospital to transmit the live patient procedure over computer networks to consulting physicians anywhere on the hospital network or anywhere on the internet using a VPN (Virtual Private Network).  Real-time video and two-way audio communication are transmitted.  Further, full resolution DICOM files can be sent to the consulting physician over the network for instant feedback on the diagnostic quality images.

Benefit:  The TIMS Consultant allows for live, remote consultation and diagnosis, from anywhere on the hospital network or around the world.  This is especially beneficial for small, rural hospitals.  Rather than having an on-call radiologist drive to the hospital for late night emergency cases, the hospital can utilize the TIMS Consultant to transmit the study to the physician in real-time.
