TIMS is able to query any PACS system for patient studies. These studies can then be retrieved from the PACS for display right at the point of care on the TIMS DICOM System.
Benefit: With TIMS DICOM query/retrieve functionality, a physician about to perform a new procedure can query the PACS to retrieve previous patient studies. With this, the physician can have the added knowledge of reviewing the previous patient procedure immediately prior to performing this new procedure.
